The Bonollo family began experimenting with the centuries-old art of making grappa as early as the 19th century in the Vicenza foothills of the Alps.
Today, with five plants along the Apennine mountain range, Distillerie Bonollo is among Europe's most important distilleries in the wine industry: producing about 200,000 hectoliters of alcohol and aqua vitae per year, equal to 50 million bottles at the consumer level.
Since 2016, it has set its sights on the U.S. market with multimillion-dollar investments. On the other hand, they are a powerhouse in the grappa world: with a turnover of around forty million euros, the bulk of Grappa made in Veneto, a region that contributes more than half of the national grappa production, comes out of the company's Conselve stills.
Company exports reach 30 percent of total turnover with a predominance of direct sales to German-speaking markets.
